Day 30: Half Way There!

Woohoo! Half-way point!! In the past 5 days I’ve definitely had my worst days and best days. While I’ve done a better job of keeping up with my videos, I definitely haven’t posted here nearly as often. Certainly have had some good times though, especially with birthday celebrations and hanging with friends for the super bowl.

Anyways, here’s my youtube channel if you are ever so keen to catch up.

Otherwise, here’s Day 30. Ignore the crazy bandana. You’ll understand when you watch. 🙂

Day 16-21: Too Busy for Words

Alright. Needless to say I’ve been slacking off a little this week. Two weeks in a row of having some super busy work days has just thrown me completely off. But that’s an excuse and I let myself slack.

Anyways, I’ve been posting videos still, just haven’t had the chance to post them in my blog as well. So, I’ll just be sharing a link to my channel tonight and you can watch if you like.

Of the successes I can count towards this Slique in 60 challenge, I’d say I’m still successful in staying away from high sugar drinks and pastries. Most nights I’ve gotten the 7 hours of sleep, and my work actually accounted for a lot of exercise because of how much I would walk each day.

My struggles have been regular focused exercise and water consumption since I was running around so much for work. And keeping up with videos. I think I’ve only missed 2 or 3 so far, and just ended up summing two days in one video.

But that ends this week. It’s a new start, a new month approaching, and I’m sticking to my guns starting tomorrow. No more birthday or work excuses, I’m getting this done. Never give up!!

Even if you stumble, don’t stop. Each day is a new day, a new start. Learn from your past and move forward. Period.

Day 15: Date Night Delay

This post comes the morning after day 15 due to spending time with my husband last night. We make it very important to spend time with each other, and with the approaching busy days, we won’t have time alone together again until Sunday.

So here’s yesterday’s recap, nothing all that exciting. Just getting myself back on track and successfully avoided bread for two days in a row now. Sorry that the sound is so quiet. Didn’t want to wake my husband.

Day 10: When the Car Broke Down

Today was a day. A very long day. Highly comical if you have the right attitude, and very tiring all the same. Here’s some of the highlights:

  • Unloading 80 dining room chairs off a truck bed in the morning. Yes 80. GREAT WORKOUT!
  • Detailing and explaining all the issues we’ve had with this company I hired. They were very gracious and eager to make things right.
  • Multiple scrapes to my hands. So glad I have Lavender lotion with me!!
  • Car dies. Needs new starter. I am within walking distance of both my hotel and a service center and I have Triple AAA!

See what I did there? Gratitude! I could have been the most stressed-out and frustrated person today, but I chose not to. God gave me a heart of gratitude and focus, allowing me to move forward, laugh it off, and find solutions. I am SO grateful for this change in me that He has been developing over the past 6 months-1 year.

I loved this day!

Day 9: The Day Job

Alright then. So the next 4 days (including today) will be different from the norm. As I’ve mentioned, I am an interior designer, and for the rest of the week, I am on the jobsite finishing up the install of our latest project. My typical tasks will include managing furniture and art install teams, while setting up model units and placing accessories.

You can imagine the trials of keeping to my commitments and routines that I faced and will face in the coming days. Still, its no excuse to keep to my routine of getting 7 hours of sleep and working out every day. Eating will be the biggest challenge. The second biggest will be motivating myself to workout when I will be on my feet all day and essentially “active.” Its not often though that I get access to free fitness center, so I intend to use it.

And while I skipped out on my workout today, according to the iPhone health app, I walked up 3 floors, took 9,753 steps, and walked 4.5 miles. Not bad right?!

Here’s a little more detail about my day. Enjoy!

Day 8: Live from Facebook!

Tonight I did a live video on Facebook, just to be real in the moment and change it up a bit.

After one week, I have lost 3lbs, slept 7 hours every night, drank over 100 oz of water, and exercised nearly every day in the past 2 weeks, missing only 2 days out of 14!

Here’s the recap! Enjoy! And if you’d like to follow me on Facebook, click here.
