Day 32: The Night I Joined a Fit Club

Yup! I wasn’t planning on it. Had no intentions of spending any extra money to stay in this challenge. But Facebook advertising is getting good….and it caught my eye. So on a whim and a good offer, I checked it out tonight. And I am super glad I did! I struggle so hard with consistency. I get bored with routine sometimes. And that “I’m about to die” feeling from a “good workout” just doesn’t appeal to me. I don’t want my workout to completely drain me for the rest of the day and into the next. And I didn’t even realize this until I walked in that door tonight. I had no idea that that’s part of the reason I don’t stick with the crazy intense workouts, and why I would shy away from exercise in general. I had to have someone else tell me its ok to not feel like you’re dying, or your legs feel like jello, still get a good workout and still see results. So I’m kinda sorta really SUPER PUMPED about this place.

Watch the video, I’ll tell you more 🙂

And PS, I’m down four pounds now and lost a few inches off my waist. Progress!!

Day 30: Half Way There!

Woohoo! Half-way point!! In the past 5 days I’ve definitely had my worst days and best days. While I’ve done a better job of keeping up with my videos, I definitely haven’t posted here nearly as often. Certainly have had some good times though, especially with birthday celebrations and hanging with friends for the super bowl.

Anyways, here’s my youtube channel if you are ever so keen to catch up.

Otherwise, here’s Day 30. Ignore the crazy bandana. You’ll understand when you watch. 🙂

Day 16-21: Too Busy for Words

Alright. Needless to say I’ve been slacking off a little this week. Two weeks in a row of having some super busy work days has just thrown me completely off. But that’s an excuse and I let myself slack.

Anyways, I’ve been posting videos still, just haven’t had the chance to post them in my blog as well. So, I’ll just be sharing a link to my channel tonight and you can watch if you like.

Of the successes I can count towards this Slique in 60 challenge, I’d say I’m still successful in staying away from high sugar drinks and pastries. Most nights I’ve gotten the 7 hours of sleep, and my work actually accounted for a lot of exercise because of how much I would walk each day.

My struggles have been regular focused exercise and water consumption since I was running around so much for work. And keeping up with videos. I think I’ve only missed 2 or 3 so far, and just ended up summing two days in one video.

But that ends this week. It’s a new start, a new month approaching, and I’m sticking to my guns starting tomorrow. No more birthday or work excuses, I’m getting this done. Never give up!!

Even if you stumble, don’t stop. Each day is a new day, a new start. Learn from your past and move forward. Period.

Day 15: Date Night Delay

This post comes the morning after day 15 due to spending time with my husband last night. We make it very important to spend time with each other, and with the approaching busy days, we won’t have time alone together again until Sunday.

So here’s yesterday’s recap, nothing all that exciting. Just getting myself back on track and successfully avoided bread for two days in a row now. Sorry that the sound is so quiet. Didn’t want to wake my husband.

Day 12-14: When Laziness Hit

Laziness. It’s the thing that keeps you on the couch, makes excuses, justifies your feelings, and I got caught in it again. I was so sore, so tired from this past week that my motivation just fizzled out. I didn’t completely lose my way, but I slacked on my commitments. Today was a struggle as I forced myself to get back on track.

Here are the videos from the past few days. I encourage you all, don’t let yourself slip like I did. It gets harder every time you let yourself slide just a little. It truly is a slippery slope. Catch yourself early, turn back around, and keep going!
